The Community Services Office operates as a department of the Town of Bentley, and is 80% funded through the Provincial Family & Community Support Services program.
The office must operate first and foremost within the mandate of this funding partner. Further information on the Family & Community Support Services mandate and guidelines can be found on the Associations web site www.fcssaa.ab.ca
An additional contract is held with Region 4 Child and Family Services Authority, negotiated yearly. This contract has specific areas of focus; family violence/bullying, early learning/childcare, and foster care awareness.
Funding partners for special projects/services include Lacombe County, Parent Link and the Summer Village of Gull Lake.
The Community Services Office is guided by an Advisory Committee, made up of citizens and community partners and is accountable to the Town, Provincial Government, Childrens' Authority and and funding partners.
