Answers

  1. How many dogs or cats am I allowed to have? When must I license them and how much does it cost?
    You cannot keep any more than three cats or three dogs over the age of six months at any residential property. Cats do not have to be licensed. Dogs must be licensed at 6 months of age. Dog licenses cost $35.00 for an unaltered animal and $25.00 for spayed or neutered animal. The licenses must be renewed each year.

  2. What are the land fill hours?
    Thursday and Friday - 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Saturday - 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Contact them at 748-3961 if you have any questions.

  3. What is the speed limit in Town?
    All streets in Town have a maximum speed limit of 50 km/hr. The main street has a posted speed limit through the park area of 30 km/hr. Throughout the community there are playgrounds and school zones that also have posted speed limits.

  4. How do I reserve a campsite? What is the cost for camping? Is there a washroom/shower facility? Are there any hook-ups? Is there somewhere we can get firewood? What are the quiet hours?
    There are no reservations for the campsites, except for the group camping area which must be reserved through the Town Office at 403-748-4044. Fees for camping are $20.00 per night per unit with only one unit (either trailer or tent) on one site. We do have a washroom/shower facility for your use in the area. There are no hook-ups. We do have a dumping site and a water tap with potable water. A private individual has posted a sign so you can purchase firewood. Quiet hours are 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. We ask you to respect your neighbors and obey the rules posted at the site.
