Farmers' Markets

Held every Saturday from May long weekend to September long weekend at the Bentley Curling Rink between the hours of 1:30 to 3:30, this market is the largest and most popular in Central Alberta. Any craft, fresh baking or fresh vegetables you can imagine are offered at reasonable prices each week. When spending your weekend at the lake, be sure to include this popular attraction as part of your day - you will not be disappointed.

Walking Path

Joining Gull Lake and Bentley is a paved walking path - a popular attraction not only for our citizens and school students, but for our weekend campers. Many choose to walk or bike into Bentley on Saturdays, go to the Farmers' Market, possibly stop for an ice cream or a few groceries and then back to the campground. What better way to spend a Saturday and get exercise at the same time!

Horseback Riding

Nestled in the rolling hills on the west side of Gull Lake in Central Alberta, Country Acre Stables beckons to horse lovers of all ages and abilities and offers a full range of horse services. www.countryacrestables.com

Hockey

From the time a child can wear skates, they seem to be at the arena. Bentley is home to a very active and dedicated Minor Hockey Association. Parents serve not only as volunteers on the Executive of the Association but as coaches, chauffeurs, cheerleaders. A great number of previous players have gone onto play in junior leagues and even the National Hockey League.

Many adult teams rent ice yearly for recreation leagues as a form of winter exercise. Players are always welcome to join any of these teams.

The Bentley Arena is also home to the Bentley Generals who play in the Senior AAA League and went all the way to the Allen Cup in 2004/05.  Check their website at www.bentleygenerals.tk for contact information or www.chinookhockeyleague.com for statistical information.
For ice rentals or general information, please call (403) 748-4044.

Public Skating - Skating times may vary - schedules are posted at the arena.

* Proper protective gear must be worn during Stick Time.
